🎙️ Feel Your Feelings

The latest from the pod

I almost didn't do a podcast this week.

Last week was a Full Moon, and let me tell you... the moon was mooning! 🌕 I was incredibly sensitive and emotional most of the week. I ended up doing a lot less work, and a lot more moving my body and taking care of me.

While I don't believe in staying stuck in the emotion forever, I also believe it's supportive to give yourself time and space to feel whatever might be coming up for you. Once you've purged the crusty emotion from your system, you'll likely find that your capacity for feeling better increases on the other side.

By Friday, I was feeling lighter. So instead of skipping the podcast, I decided to lean into the topic du week: emotions. They are such an essential part of how I've moved my life forward, moved through fear, tapped into confidence, and so much more... and not talked about nearly enough considering the power they have to change your life.

So - I hope you enjoy this week's "emotional" episode!

If you want to go deeper in this topic, check out this week's podcast: 72. Feel Your Feelings: Using Emotions for Healing, Habit Change, and Spiritual Alignment

🗝️ Key takeaways:

  • Emotions are biological, not weakness - they exist to keep us safe (fear, for example, is the body protecting itself)
  • Every emotion has three parts: physical sensation → mental story → behavioral response
  • Unwanted habits (scrolling, sugar, alcohol, overexercising) are often just distraction from unfelt feelings - process the feeling, and the habit can dissolve
  • Emotions are also a spiritual guidance system: expansive = aligned, constricted = something's off
  • Higher-vibration energy can trigger individual and collective emotional purging
  • Practical tools for moving emotions through: walking, breathwork, shaking, and movement
  • Feeling your feelings isn't just personal work - it's how we make the world better

PS: it's also on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple. Be sure to follow the pod so the episodes auto download each week!

"Andrea was so plugged in to me and my higher self that I always felt safe enough to make big discoveries and big revelations. I wasn't charging enough for my services and she showed me, in many different ways, why that wasn't serving me, and guided me into a self-discovery journey that empowered me to make lasting change with my pricing. This change was made to honor my ancestors and all the sacrifices they made to get me where I am today."

I was leaking energy and didn't know it... Someone said something so freeing this week. As I mentioned in my last email, the inner pressure has been intense. One of the girls in my group said something that instantly dissolved a weight from my body: (Paraphrasing A Course in Miracles): The mind can't possibly understand matters of spirit. For the last year - particularly in my dating life - I've spent so much time analyzing everything. Studying every sign (I saw his initials in a license...

The question that stopped my emotions It wasn't "what should I DO about this?" Reader, This weekend I was in the feels, going through Kleenex like I had stock in it. It was the same old pattern: my son upset my daughter. They started fighting. I got overwhelmed. The tears started rolling. It's been a pattern for years. I always assumed I was releasing old emotions… but I never actually felt better afterward. Now that I only see them part time, I don't want to be the mom that cries whenever...

Where can you get wild? Break your mold this week! Reader, I'm in a group right now with the coach I did my Spiritual Coaching certification through. We started the summer with one of my favorite pieces of homework: Where can you get wild in your life? She asked us to break out mold. To do something different. Why this matters is because our lives become routine. We wake up, get dressed the same way, think the same thoughts, and make the same choices. But if nothing changes...nothing changes....
