The Embodied Edge
The Future Self Mixer is this week!
Sometimes, being embodied doesn't mean doing more or newer things. It can mean more fully utilizing what we already have!
✉️ This week, I want you to tune into your senses more fully.
Our senses are how we experience the world around us. Yet most of us only half tune in while our focus stays in our brain, spinning on whatever it's worried about.
I like this exercise from Eckhart Tolle: use your senses without needing to comment on or label anything.
As you go about your holiday festivities - pause on one sense at a time and really experience that sense.
👀 Use your eyes and take in all the shapes, colors, and movement you're seeing.
👂🏽 Close your eyes and use your ears to take in any music, voices, or laughter.
👃🏼 Take in all the smells, 👅 then the tastes, of whatever comes off the grill.
🫂 Feel the way someone's arms wrap you in a hug as you say hello.
Enjoy your holiday weekend, and unofficial start to Summer!
➡️ How did it go - I'd love to hear! Reply to this email or share & tag me on Instagram or LinkedIn!
Upcoming Events
📅 Future Self Mixer - for my go getters who want to get inspired by themselves. Vision boards and affirmations are great gateways into learning manifestation, but there’s something more transformative that I want to introduce you to: future self-embodiment. IE – acting as the badass version of you that’s already accomplished your goals.
At the event, I’ll guide you through a process to step into the energy of your future self. Then, you’ll mingle with others as her.
Your $25 ticket includes coffee & a complimentary day pass to work from Serendipity after the mixer, and an optional post mixer call with me to help you further integrate this work.
🎙️ The latest from The Embodied Leader: Why Leadership is an Identity, Not a Performance. I'm back with a powerful new season! In this episode, I introduce the powerful concept of embodied leadership - and why it’s the missing link for so many Type A women. I share the behind-the-scenes of my recent pivots, the clarity I found during a business break, and how identity work and nervous system regulation changed everything for me. Listen here, on Spotify, Apple, YouTube, or wherever you get your podcasts.
🎙️ On the Spectrum with Sonja Chand: When Your Inner Child Drives the Success Bus. This was a powerful conversation with Sonja Chand! We went deep on things like how most high achievers are motivated by childhood wounds and patterns, how powerful it can be to sit with discomfort instead of distract ourselves from it, how generational and past life trauma can lead to fears that don’t make any logical sense, and more!. Listen on Spotify!

"My experience with Andrea surpassed my expectations! She took the time to understand where I was at, what I was struggling with, and where I wanted to be. Through our coaching sessions she was able to tap into different thought patterns and beliefs that were holding me back and not allowing me to move forward. She gave me tactical and actionable tools to use as these thought patterns come up so I can move through them. Working with Andrea gave me the confidence to go after the life I want to be living and show up in this world the way I was meant to!" Monica

The Embodied Edge I held my second Future Self Mixer a couple days ago. One theme that stood out to me was the difference between how we see ourselves and how we're perceived by others. The ladies that were there were bosses - movers and shakers in the community. Yet many shared how they didn't feel confident in themselves, or still struggled with imposter syndrome - even when it didn't come across to those they met. As their greatness was reflected back to them by the other women, they...
The Embodied Edge As a kid, I loved dancing. Yet somewhere along the path to adulthood I stopped doing it so much. Now that I'm being more intentional with how I feel, I'm bringing it back as a way to boost my energy and my mood. Moving your body helps move stagnant energy and make space for more of the feel good stuff to come in. ✉️ If you've hesitated dancing, this week I want you to try it. Just for a song. Just to see how it feels! If you're nervous, wait until you're alone in the house....
The Embodied Edge Happy Mother's Day to you mamas, and mamas-in-spirit! I used to think buying cut flowers was a waste of money. While I don't splurge all the time, I've bought them a couple times since January to recreate the bright colors that made me happy in Cuba. Seeing the colors on the table every time I walked by add a pep to my step! ✉️ If you don't receive flowers this week, my invitation to you is to buy yourself a bouquet. Make this as fun or simple as you want. Our grocery stores...
