🎙️ Work Less, Earn More, Be Present: Nora Virginia on Identity, Motherhood, and Business Growth

The latest from the pod

I've been toying around with this thought lately - what if I had really cool conversations with really cool people and... shared them on the podcast?

The conversations I have with people light me up. They go way beyond "how's the weather?" I love digging deep into life, how reality works, what they're learning and moving through, and a host of other topics.

Since my business is one big experiment right now, I decided to go for it. I'm grateful for those that have jumped in with me!

The first conversation I'm releasing is with a coach I've worked with a few times - Nora Virginia. I first worked with her because, as a feminine business woman, I needed some strategy around my work. She taught it better than any other intuitive business coach I knew.

Seventeen months ago, she had a baby, which led to her own identity crisis (discussed on the pod). From that, she now leans more heavily into teaching identity work. I worked with her again earlier this year as I started to imagine "who do I want to be in my business on the other side of my divorce?"

(The funny thing is - the answer didn't come. But sometimes we're led to someone thinking we need one thing, and ending up with another. She ended up being the perfect person to hold space for the post-divorce healing I was still going through.)

If you want to hear our conversation, check out this week's podcast: 68. Work Less, Earn More, Be Present: Nora Virginia on Identity, Motherhood, and Business Growth

🗝️ Key takeaways:

  • Stacking evidence to build confidence when starting something new
  • Why trusting a higher power can be harder than it sounds
  • Identity work — who you're becoming and who you are while you build
  • When healing helps, and when it becomes a trap
  • Myths and misconceptions in the spiritual and manifestation space
  • The powerful question Nora asks herself when she needs clarity

PS: it's also on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple. Be sure to follow the pod so the episodes auto download each week!

"Andrea was so plugged in to me and my higher self that I always felt safe enough to make big discoveries and big revelations. I wasn't charging enough for my services and she showed me, in many different ways, why that wasn't serving me, and guided me into a self-discovery journey that empowered me to make lasting change with my pricing. This change was made to honor my ancestors and all the sacrifices they made to get me where I am today."

I was leaking energy and didn't know it... Someone said something so freeing this week. As I mentioned in my last email, the inner pressure has been intense. One of the girls in my group said something that instantly dissolved a weight from my body: (Paraphrasing A Course in Miracles): The mind can't possibly understand matters of spirit. For the last year - particularly in my dating life - I've spent so much time analyzing everything. Studying every sign (I saw his initials in a license...

The question that stopped my emotions It wasn't "what should I DO about this?" Reader, This weekend I was in the feels, going through Kleenex like I had stock in it. It was the same old pattern: my son upset my daughter. They started fighting. I got overwhelmed. The tears started rolling. It's been a pattern for years. I always assumed I was releasing old emotions… but I never actually felt better afterward. Now that I only see them part time, I don't want to be the mom that cries whenever...

Where can you get wild? Break your mold this week! Reader, I'm in a group right now with the coach I did my Spiritual Coaching certification through. We started the summer with one of my favorite pieces of homework: Where can you get wild in your life? She asked us to break out mold. To do something different. Why this matters is because our lives become routine. We wake up, get dressed the same way, think the same thoughts, and make the same choices. But if nothing changes...nothing changes....
